Lo bueno: Muy tranquilo y limpio, tanto habitacion como banos, agua caliente, amplio. Mi colchon era muy blando pero dormi sin problema. Lo malo: 1 euro por hora de internet (utilizando la maquina del hostal), entre las 12 y las 17 horas no hay quien te reciba. Debes entregar la habitacion maximo 9 am y si es antes de las 8 am debes avisar. No incluye desayuno. Es un lugar para descansar. Disculpen la falta de acentos, asunto del teclado.

Muito bom hostel, a localizacao eh muito boa, dentro da ilha. isto facilita muito, perto de supermercado. custo da hospedagem eh barato, as instalacoes limpas.Recomendo!

This hostel was fairly clean and close to the train station. It's check in was odd. The reception hours were 8-12 and 8p-12a. We arrived in the morning and they told us we couldn't get into our room until 1145 when the cleaners were finished - but we had to be back by 12 noon or we would have to wait til 5. Not much of a window. Also wifi is also available in the reception area, I went down at about 1030 p and no one was there to let me in. Dorms were nice, no lockers. The location is a bit away from the main tourist areas but you can walk everywhere in 30 minutes. Staff were friendly.

- Convenient location; easy to find
- Very basic accomodation if you just want to sleep; no issue with security as mentioned in previous report: I could lock the room door but no lockers available in the room
- I informed them I was arriving after reception opening time and somebody opened to me in 10 min; friendly people at check out

is very clean hostel in a beautiful place in a canal a very old building, the staff is nice and friendly but there are not a hostel life is just a place for sleep, but is cheap and good if you want just rest

The hostel is ok. Very organized. It didn't have Wireless internet due to some technical problems. You have to walk approx. 20 min to arrive from bus of main train station but it is in Venice, so it compensates the time.

I liked there. All the staff was kind and very polite. They speak English and Italian slowly. Each bed has consent beside.

during the semester santa fosca is a students dormitory and part of the staff are students. hence there's a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere and it's nice to meet in the stone courtyard in the evenings. the rooms and bathrooms are clean, but unfortunately the rooms are very hot, even at night. compared to other venice hostels, santa fosca is cheap and is located central. the train and bus stations to arrive from the mainland, as well as most famous sights (marcus square, rialto etc.) are only a few minutes to go. furthermore there's one of venices few supermarkets round the corner and there's a big kitchen for free use, so you can sav a lot of money given venices exorbitant prices for snacks and restaurants. it's the perfect place to stay for young people, especially backpackers.

Room was clean and spacious. Location about 15minute walk from train station. Well priced for expensive Venice. However,no aircon made for a very hot night! Also, our room was on he court yard side, so was rather noisy until midnight.

I've never before met a staff that was so friendly and helpfull. When a friend felt unwell they even accompanied us to the station. We met a lot of friendly other travellers and the hostel is situated very peacefully.

This is one of the best hostels I stayed in! The rooms are nice (except for the mosquitoes, which is normal), the showers aren't great, but there is a good kitchen, people are nice, and it is central but a quiet and peaceful place to stay.

L'ostello è in un'ottima posizione centrale vicino alla stazione dei treni.
Lo staff è molto cordiale e carino e anche l'intera struttura è non solo molto accogliente ma ben pulita. Consigliabile a chiunque voglia vivere la città con i suoi musei e campi e gondole.

We have been very satisfacted about the ostello. We sleeped in a 2 persons room number 10/1.
Only in the night it was somtimes to noisy because of the sound of the door to enter.
And there is something wrong with the lavabo in the room.
But is een very good hotel, the position is super, the hospitality also.

hospitality: good
rooms: large and clean
cleaning: good
reception and staff: extremely helpful ( I arrived one day in advance and wasn't
even aware of it, yet, the lady at the reception handled everything perfectly
and with a smile on top of that!!)
position of the hostel: this has been my only experience in Venice, but I guess
that in terms of location, equipment, cleanliness, this is a place I would
highly recommend!!

Gentile direzione,
il soggiorno è stato sofddisfacente: l’ospitalità buona; l’accoglienza e personale cortese.
La posizione dell'ostello comoda e la pulizia soddisfacente.
Le camere le ho trovate, però, con le pareti un po' malmesse (avrebbero bisogno di una
sistemata) e SOPRATTUTTO le finestre dovrebbero essere dotate di zanzariere.
Per il caldo bisogna aprire le finestre e per 2 notti non ho dormito per le tantissime zanzare
presenti.
Se passeremo di nuovo a Venezia (lo spero), senz'altro verremo di nuovo a farvi visita.

Your hospitality is nice, very welcoming and helpful. Nice rooms, quiet, not too hot and there is space for everybody.

Cleaning is good. Welcoming and helpful, no problem.

Not evident to find the street without map but
the hostel is well placed, it is quiet and near to the main street, close to the station, no problem.

-Suggestions : A breakfast included in the price (or as an option) could be very nice.

Your hospitality is good. I would recommend the hostel to others.

The room is very warm. We missed a locker or something like that to put our backpack in. The was not much there, but it was enough for backpackers. The building was nice to see and has a good location. Price was good.

The building was old and that was noticeable in the rooms and shower-areas. But for the price it was good.
Good hospitality, We didn’t have to wait long. The girl behind the desk was very helpful with picking restaurants.

The Hostel had a good location, although it was hard to find at first. Perhaps a sign at the “shoppingstreet” would be helpful.

L’ostello è comodo rispetto ai luoghi da visitare in Venezia.
Purtroppo l’ostello è insoddisfacente per l’obbligo imposto ai clienti del rientro alle 0,30 (per una città come Venezia, è veramente un punto dolente)

Salve,

- l'ospitalità è stata soddisfacente. tuttavia la chiusura notturna dell'ostello è sconveniente, e suggerirei almeno di indicare meglio con un cartello il pulsante che apre dall'interno il portone esterno,così che volendo uscire dall'ostello prima delle 8 di mattina non si incontrino difficoltà.
- le stanze erano soddisfacenti, ma sarebbe utile avere una chiave per ciascun armadio.
- la pulizia era buona
- lo staff cordiale e disponibile
- la posizione dell'ostello ottima

I found the hospitality, rooms, cleaning, reception and staff more than great. Compared to other hostels in Venice i wouldn't know because this is the first hostel i've stayed at in Venice. However, if i come back i'd definitely consider staying at this hostel again.

Dear hostel direction,

Answering your questions:

- I had problems to find the hostel because the numbers are confuding and I didn't see the number which was given in the internet at the entrance. I had to ask some people. Maybe a sign next to the Santa Fosca church would help to find it easier.

- I liked the rooms, they seemed clean and the ambiente was nice. Really good.

- All in all the cleaning was good.

- The staff of the hostel was very polite and was very keen to help me and explain me everything.

- In my point of view the position of the hostel is perfect, you can easily reach everything, it's not near a noisy place and there is the supermarket 5 minutes away by feet. Ideal.

Ostello in zona tranquilla a pochi passi da tutto

Il mio fidanzato ed io siamo stati all'Ostello Santa Fosca per alcuni giorni a Novembre mentre visitavamo la Biennale di architettura. Abbiamo prenotato una camera doppia, che si trovava set di camere fronte sul cortile. La camera era vista sul canale, piuttosto semplice, ma pulito, spazioso e aveva una unità di lavandino. Sappiate che durante il termine volte non ha strutture l'ostello che sono di cucina usato dagli studenti universitari soggiornare nelle sale del residence. La posizione è ottima, in una zona tranquilla a pochi passi da tutto. Ho letto le preoccupazioni circa la sicurezza ma non ho provato niente di male e non sentire minacciato o in pericolo. La porta dell'ala dell'ostello abbiamo alloggiato in una serratura elettrica, che apre da solo all'interno e da fuori che serve le chiavi per entrare. Una delle altre entrate necessita di un AGO per poter, quindi forse hanno migliorato la sicurezza dato che queste recensioni erano pubblicate. Non ho davvero nulla di negativo su questo ostello, sapevamo che era niente di più di un punto di partenza per visitare la Biennale e questo scopo, soprattutto a 60 euro a notte - un tasso non troverete in nessun altro posto a Venezia in qualsiasi momento dell'anno.
