Dal 24 agosto 2011 anche a Venezia entrerà in vigore l'imposta di soggiorno

Dal 24 agosto 2011 è entrata in vigore l'imposta di soggiorno per i turisti che pernotteranno nel territorio del Comune di Venezia, determinata per persona e pernottamento fino a un massimo di cinque pernottamenti consecutivi (l'imposta, cioè, non verrà più pagata a partire dal sesto giorno di permanenza in città).

La decisione deI Consiglio Comunale di Venezia segue l'approvazione da parte del Governo, il 14 marzo scorso, del Decreto legislativo n. 23 che detta "Disposizioni in materia di federalismo municipale". Il Decreto prevede che "il relativo gettito sia destinato a finanziare interventi in materia di turismo, ivi compresi quelli a sostegno delle strutture ricettive, nonché interventi di manutenzione, fruizione e recupero dei beni culturali e ambientali locali, nonché dei relativi servizi pubblici locali".

Le aliquote varieranno in base alla stagionalità (ci saranno cioè due quote, diverse per alta e bassa stagione) e in base alla tipologia della struttura ricettiva (si distingue tra strutture alberghiere, extralberghiere, case per ferie, villaggi turistici e campeggi).

Il Comune di Venezia ha fissato le seguenti tariffe per le “Case per ferie” bassa stagione € 1,00 (a notte a persona) – alta stagione € 2,00 (a notte a persona) e l’Ostello Santa Fosca è classificato come “Casa per ferie”.

I ragazzi di età compresa fra i 10 e i 16 anni pagheranno la metà, mentre l'imposta non si applicherà per i bambini al di sotto dei 10 anni.

Il Consiglio Comunale di Venezia ha indicato come alta stagione i seguenti periodi:

From 24th of August 2011 also Venice will enforce a new tourist tax for visitors

From 24th of August 2o11, the City of Venice enforce a tourist tax for visitors staying overnight, starting. The decision was taken by the City Council last June 23rd, when the new tax regulations were approved, after the Italian Government passed the national law on "Regulations on the subject of municipal federalism", according to which local authorities are entitled to enforce tourist taxes in order to finance tourism, maintenance of cultural heritage sites and environment, as well as public services.

The tax, will be levied on the first five consecutive nights of any overnight stay. Tariffs will change according to season and the type of accommodation: hotels, b&b, campsites, holiday village, holiday home, etc. There will be two fares, one for low and on for high season.

Venice City Council has set these tariffs for the “holiday home” low season € 1,00 (per night per person) – high season € 2,00 (per night per person): Ostello Santa Fosca is classified as “Holiday home”

Children aged between 10 and 16 will pay half the tax fare, whereas those under 10 will not be charged at all.
